My Story
I heard about Scentsy way back in 2006ish when my cousin was “selling” it ( more like giving it away). She gave me my very first warmer right off her night stand and a tester of camu camu. I was a college student at the time, so it just wasn’t in the budget to keep reordering. I was doing good to eat top ramen! So needless to say, that experience was cut short but it gave me the opportunity to fall in love with it all over again. 4 years later, I bought a Skinny Dippin Travel Tin and couldn’t stop talking about how awesome my car smelled everytime I got in it. After that, life of the candle and wick was no more in our house.
My Mom had sworn up and down about Scentsy so she joined just to make commission on her own orders. I knew I was going to get FREE product and I was so excited. In August of 2011 she joined and I helped her launch her Scentsy business throughout the holiday season that year. In January she asked me to help her out even more since she had a more than full-time “real job” and she hadn’t planned for her Scentsy business to take off like it did. So I joined the next month in February 2012, ran with it at “sas speed”, and haven’t looked back since.
I decided to become a consultant with Scentsy for multiple reasons. I was a stay at home mother of 2 year old twins and the wife of an amazingly hard working man. On the outside I had it all, but when I self reflected I felt something huge was missing. I hung a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management on the wall, had a resume with extensive Management experience on it for my age, 7 years of high-level sales experience, but it just wasn’t in the cards after having the babies to go back to all of that. I struggled with horrible panic attacks, mental health, post partum depression after the birth of the twins and felt major guilt about having to make a decision to put my babies in daycare all day so I could be a “career woman.” I needed intellectual stimulation and the chance to influence people again while still staying with my babies. Scentsy saved my life because I could have it all if I worked hard enough for it. Since having the twins in May of 2009 I have not had to go back to a “real job” thanks to my husband and Scentsy.
Building a team is hands down my favorite part of the “job.” I find such satisfaction in rejoicing in the small accomplishments of everyone on my team. I love the enthusiasm of the new recruits and the infectious vibe that they bring to the team. I love watching marriages be saved, health and wellness be ressurected, and relationships strengthened all because Scentsy gives us an identity and a positive outlet, that makes us feel better about ourselves. Having a team is like having a safety net. These people want me to succeed, they want each other to succeed, and they want to succeed themselves. On days that are tough, or months that are slow, knowing that someone else is right there with you makes “getting through” doable.
Join my team and add great value to your life!!!
